Create a valentine’s day greeting card in photoshop

Hi friends, valentine’s day is nearing by and every where the fever has spread. Tutsfriend is also a part of that fever and here we give you some awesome but simple tutorials in creating a greeting card to keep you valentine happy this year. Ok, let us go into the tutorial.

Step 1: Open a new document in photoshop as per your wish. I have chosen 800 px X 600 px.

Step 2: Create a new layer.

Step 3: Take the gradient tool and click on the gradient editor available on the properties bar and give the following settings.

Step 4: Now click and drag on the canvas from top left corner to bottom right corner of the canvas with radial gradient option chosen and you will get something like this.

Step 5: Now take the brush tool and choose a soft round brush and then open the brushes palette by pressing F5 button and give the following settings.

 

Step 6: Now take the custom shape tool and choose the heart shape from it with paths option chosen. Then click and drag it on the canvas to create something like this.

 

 

Step 7: Next take the path selection tool and select the path that you have drawn.

 

Step 8: Next take the delete anchor point toll and delete the following anchor points by clicking on them.

 

 

Step 9: Next take the convert point tool and click on the following anchor point tool to convert curve into line and now you will have something like this.

 

 

 

Step 10: Create a new layer and with the convert point tool still selected right click and choose stroke path option and with the brushes option chosen give ok and you will get something like this.

 

 

Step 11: Now with the convert point tool still selected press Ctrl + T and make it small a little bit like this.

Step 12: Now create a new layer and again repeat step 10. Now you must be having two hearts like this.

Step 13: Press esc button twice to get rid of the path.

Step 14: Now select each heart seperately and press ctrl + T and rotate them like this and place them in this manner.

Step 15: Now dowload some heart brushes. I downloaded from here.

Step 16: Now load it into photoshop like this.

Step 17: Apply the brush randomnly like this.

Step 18: Next take the text tool and type sometext like this.

Step 19: Then give some drop shadow layer style to it with the follwoing settings.

 

Thus your greeting card is ready.
